As a current client of Denman Construction, it is a pleasure to give voice to our appreciation and admiration of their building and design team. Consummate professionals, they execute plans with exquisite attention to detail, often improving or creating superior design elements as they proceed.
Amazingly, they manage to accomplish this in a fun, collaborative manner, making certain all the designs and executions are positive surprises just beyond expectation. With their complete repertoire of competence from design, execution, and completion, they have made building our new home a delightful experience. I could not recommend them more highly.
We recently had Denman Construction build our Garage/Guest House. As an Interior Designer, I had worked with Denman Construction many times and had seen the attention to detail and creativity for which they are known.
We also wanted to incorporate some historical tower beams and ironwork from an old tram from my family's ranch. The look of the structure was more contemporary, yet the details had to combine the rustic, primitive elements of the historic pieces.
Travis Denman, a Montana State University student in his Architectural Master's Degree Program, designed the structure. His ability to understand the site, the design requirements and our lifestyle was key to the success of the project.
Because of the steepness of the location, a three-story structure was designed with the garage on the top floor accessed by a bridge. The lower two levels function as a guesthouse at the present and will be part of our retirement home later.
Because this project became much grander and detailed than a normal garage/guest house, our neighbor named it "The Taj Garaj!"
We are extremely happy with our new home and our relationship with Denman Construction.

Well, we did it! Actually, YOU did it. You built the house of our dreams. With our constant cry of it should look like it's been there for a hundred years, you never questioned or waivered from this, resulting in a home that went way beyond our expectations.
From the tediously hand distressed logs to the search for old tin tiles on E-Bay, to the beautiful old barn wood, nothing was too much trouble, it was always more important that it be right. We never expressed an idea that you didn't embrace, think about, add to and integrate into the home in a way that was exactly what we wanted - only better.
The monthly site trips were always something to look forward to. It was with great pride you revealed your progress, and I was always awestruck at the perfection of the craftsmanship. With your boundless enthusiasm, the meetings were creative, productive and fun.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Craig Denman as a first class builder and general contractor. Our experience with Craig and his organization was extremely positive, enjoyable and remarkably problem-free. We have built homes before, and this was, by far, the easiest, least stressful, and most gratifying experience we have had.
It's important for us to mention the subcontractors that Craig used to build our home. They were much more than carpenters, cabinet-builders, electricians, and stone masons. No on has ever visited our home without commenting on the extraordinary level of craftsmanship in the woodwork and stonework, or the high level of sophistication in the Smart House media systems. In all our prior experiences, we have never before seen an equal level of commitment to one's craft, or attention to detail, as we saw in Craig's subcontractors. They all developed great working relationships with us, and contributed some wonderful and creative ideas to our home, as well as a tremendous level of expertise and artisanship.
In summary, then, we are totally satisfied with our home, and thoroughly enjoy living in it. It is as much and more than we envisioned and is truly a fulfillment of one of our key dreams for ourselves.
When I interviewed contractors to build my home I choose Denman Construction because the homes I saw built by this firm were definitely custom homes and were of high quality construction. Since I did not live in Montana at the time, I needed a dependable contractor that would see to the construction in a diligent manner without my constant supervision. However, when I did come to the job site (about once a month) they had the flexibility to respond to my input.
We needed a contractor that had the expertise to construct unique architectural features that we had our architect incorporate in our design, such as our turrets, large beams, and large view windows.
Craig Denman's firm did a fine job. Their attention to detail is unsurpassed. His associates are experienced and conscientious.
Bill Rice was outstanding. His ability to connect with the subs, suppliers, and the homeowner in an expedient, unruffled manner certainly made the job move more smoothly.
You have to think that Craig is a good boss because his crews seem to stay with him. That is important, especially in this current Montana building market. Keeping good men like Steve, our job superintendent, and his crew of carpenters, assures a homeowner of quality, on time construction.
Thank you Craig for the fine job.
I am writing this letter to thank you for the truly exceptional job you did in building our home in the Iron Horse development. As you are aware, I have worked with several other builders in the past, and have never found another contractor who is so conscientious, honest, hard working, and above all able to do such a large scale project in budget and well ahead of schedule! Your construction manager Bill Rice was also exemplary in keeping watch over the myriad of details that went into this stunning home.
The home was finished with the finest quality of craftsmanship I have ever seen, and your construction crew supervised by Troy Denman was first rate. The developer of Iron Horse, Michael Meldman, agreed when he said this was the most beautiful and well-built home he had ever seen in any of his luxurious developments.
Please do not hesitate to have potential clients contact me in regards of your building expertise.
Craig Denman has built numerous custom homes for members in the Iron Horse Golf Club development in Whitefish and two new homes that my company listed, marketed and sold. Denman Construction homes are of the highest quality and as the listing Realtor, those impressions were confirmed by the architect, developer and rigorous building inspections performed before each closing.
These homes were completed in about 12 months, a testament to Craig's crew and professional approach to home building.
I've had the pleasure of being associated with Denman Construction for more than 15 years. Besides becoming a friend of Craig's, together we have worked out a close professional relationship that has fed off each other to form creative ideas for our clients.
We are proud to be part of a team that has worked exceptionally well for years and look forward to continuing the relationship for years to come. Together we have formed friendships with our clients and are very pleased to see them enjoying their new homes customized for them through our mutual efforts.
